Eric Gagliano is a postdoctoral scholar in the UW Terrain Analysis and Cryosphere Observation (TACO) Lab. He uses satellite radar and cloud computing to study when and where mountain snowmelt happens. Eric previously completed his PhD in the TACO Lab, where he produced the first global, high-resolution record of snowmelt runoff onset from Sentinel-1 SAR. Continuing as a postdoc, he is exploring NISAR L-band SAR for wet snow detection and building automatically updating global snow datasets. For fun, Eric likes to play dodgeball, volunteer, and hang out with friends.
