Grégoire Guillet is a physical glaciologist and postdoctoral research fellow in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Washington.
His research involves the development of novel uncertainty estimation methodologies to study the Earth’s cryosphere.
His current focus uses remote sensing observations and numerical models to understand mountain glaciers and ice sheets, with focus on fast flowing and dynamically unstable glaciers.
This work involves modern mathematics (statistical learning, probabilistic approaches, optimal transport) and high-performance computing to tackle problems that cannot be addressed using traditional methods.
