Romain Hugonnet is a postdoctoral research fellow in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Washington.
His research focuses on remote sensing of the Earth’s surface, in particular the analysis of digital elevation models to estimate glacier mass change, seasonal snow depth, and other surface elevation changes.
His work involves developing methods of spatiotemporal prediction and uncertainty analysis functioning both at high-resolution and large scales, based on advanced statistics and high-performance computing.
